Donegal's Lapland

Christmas in Donegal can be a magical and fun-filled experience, especially if you visit Santa’s Island at Donegal’s very own Lapland.

The longest running and most popular Christmas show in Donegal is back again for 2022 and you do really have to pass the North Pole to get here, we kid you not!

Donegal's lapland is a short 20 minute drive from McGrory's hotel.

Let the magic begin!

The whole show takes place in the dark of night with thousands of lights for special effects to add to the whole experience.

They aim to create a world for the young and old that helps capture the magic and enchantment of the festive period from the moment you arrive

When the show starts, the head elf tells the story of christmas, then santa appears down the chimney and the children all get called up by name to get a gift.

After the show you can explore Santa's village you can visit Santa’s home, see what he eats for breakfast and visit the elves’ bedroom.

You can explore Santa’s office and the children can write and post their list for Christmas.

Tour Santa’s shops, visit the toy factory and sit on Santa’s sleigh.

In Santa’s home, the children can meet Santa again and have their photographs taken with him.

You also can continue through a tunnel into Elves Kingdom. This is completely different world with Elves houses and many more surprises.
